Well, my life seems to match this photo these days. Some indeterminate shade of Gray within the world of color. Light/Dark: My life, my moods, the circles under my eyes, all seem to move between the two extremes on a daily basis. Let's forget the gory details, shall we? Let's just focus on the new lessons learned, the new realizations about myself, my life, my relationship or, now, seemingly, the lack thereof. And so this Journal, this previous record of my life continues. But like the shifting light at sunset on a Winter's night, I will now focus on the spaces in between. The Gray areas, the Negative spaces, the things that were, and things yet to come.
And so, much as this tree in Winter, with bare branches, seemingly lifeless, cold, shades of Gray. My Life holds promise. The promise of a bird's nest within this barren tree in Winter. It holds the Hope I feel. The Hope and Promise of a new Life. A place of warmth, Family, Continuity. Maybe the Hope of new Love. I will take one breath at a time, one step at a time, one Day at a time. And with each Day, the Promise of a New Life.
And I'll be watching from Apifera....
